More Glacier Bay Visits and Round-Trip Seattle CruiseTours Enhance 2010 Alaska Program

Holland America’s new 14-day Alaskan Adventurer cruise includes Glacier Bay cruising

Seattle, WA, August 28, 2009 – Holland America Line enhanced their 2010 Alaska program today with the announcement of round-trip Seattle CruiseTours and the addition of Glacier Bay to the 14-day Alaskan Adventurer itinerary.
A day of cruising spectacular Glacier Bay National Park, always a guest favorite, has been added to eight of the nine 14-day Alaskan Adventurer cruises in 2010. Guests will enjoy a double glacier experience with visits to Glacier Bay and Hubbard Glacier. One departure on July 12 will visit the twin Sawyer Glaciers in picturesque Tracy Arm fjord along with Hubbard Glacier.
“We recently acquired additional permits to visit Glacier Bay,” said Richard D. Meadows, CTC, executive vice president, marketing, sales, and guest programs. “By adding them into the Amsterdam’s new 14-day itinerary — which already contains the exciting new ports of Homer, Kodiak and Anchorage — we’re offering the best of the best in southeast Alaska.”
For guests taking CruiseTours in 2010, the line’s new Seattle CruiseTour Connector is an added convenience to turn any CruiseTour into a round-trip Seattle tour. Holland America Line will include additional transportation in its Alaska and Yukon CruiseTour packages so guests avoid having to book open ended flights for tours beginning and ending in different locations.
The Seattle CruiseTour Connector includes airfare between Seattle and Alaska, one-night hotel in Seattle, motor coach transportation between Seattle and Vancouver and transfer from Anchorage or Fairbanks hotel to airport.
All CruiseTours combine an Inside Passage sailing with an in-depth land tour and range from 10 to 20 days in length. For CruiseTours beginning or ending in Anchorage, the Connector package is $349 per person, and for Fairbanks is $449.
The 14-day Alaskan Adventurer cruise departs on nine round-trip sailings from Seattle May 17 through September 6, 2010. Historic ports of call include Ketchikan, Skagway, Sitka, Victoria, British Columbia, and new for 2010, Anchorage, Homer, Kodiak and Juneau. Cruise fares begin at $1,899 per person, based on double occupancy.
