Before you board - questions about what you can request
I figured that if I had these questions, other people might as well. And Yonnie will know the answers.
First, when making requests for dinner, can you request which floor or area you would like, as well as which time and table size? DH would really prefer to be in the King's room or Queen's room, and I wondered if it would be worthwhile to request that.
Also, I know you have posted the phone number for Ship's Services before, but I can't find it. I am hoping to order a specific brand of bourbon for our cabin, and I believe I can do that prior to the cruise. What (else) can we order precruise from Ship's Services?

If you are in a Delux Suite you can request the dining time you want, size of table and if you have booked far enough in advance -- even the table number you want.
The King and Queen Rooms are not available for dinner.

Yonnie, how big are the bottles? At those prices it doesn't appear that they are 750 or litres. At least compared to the other cruise lines prices per bottle. If they are full sized bottles, then those are good prices, indeed!
Thank you to both Pete and Yonnie. I know I will be putting info from both of you to very good use.
It's a shame about the King and Queen's rooms. On Prinsendam, there was a smaller dining room that we were seated in, although it was listed as part of the La Fontaine dining room. It was less noisy and it just felt nicer. They were using the middle section of the main dining room for As You Wish dining and the outer tables there for traditional seating, and that made for more hustle and bustle.
On the ships with 2 floors of dining, that is probably not an issue.

On the Rotterdam the upper level is used for the traditonal (fixed) dining and the lower level is the AYWD.
The Queen's room on the R and S class ships is now the card room.
The King's room on the R class ships is used for breakfast for the PS, SA, SB and SC passengers. it is not used at lunch time for anything. Some captains use this room when they host a large dinner party -- other wise it is empty in the evenings.

Hi Yonnie, I was under the impression that the suites ate breakfast in the Pinnacle Room. That's how it was done last time we were in a suite. Has it changed recently?
