But Neal -- the brand of ice cream you may like, I may not.

For instance -- lots of people love Ben & Jerry's ice cream which is the brand used in the Baked Alaska in the Pinnacle -- I don;t like that brand.

I don't see HAL charging for ice cream any time in the near future.

They are too well known for ice cream in the afternoon. They would not change that, too many people would be upset.

Yonnie, HAL used to make all of their ice cream that day on the ship from scratch. Are you saying they are now getting prepackeaged? (Deb loved their coconut sherbet)

HAL doesn't make any of the ice cream any more because of the large volume of it being eaten every day.

Yonnie and others: Please tell me the FISH (not all seafood ... just FISH) is still good on HAL!

Know the beef in the MDR has taken a slide ... so hope the FISH doesn't follow ....

If it taste the least bit FISHY, I won't like it.

My Signature LuLu ...

Lulu, if you concentrate on the fish like tilapia, cod, flounder, and similar, you won't get a fishy taste. The taste is more dependent upon the fish species than the preparation. Ask the waiter (bass and salmon are very fishy IMHO)

ARRRGGGHHHHH!!!! (I loved the homemade ice cream, that explains why the stuff on the Noordam was just good, not spectacular)

Joe loves fish -- any which way it is prepared -- salmon -- flounder -- unicorn - tilapia. As far as he is concerned -- it's all great.

He just wishes HAL would have the Dover Sole.

I can no longer eat fish because of the oil content ipsetting my stomach.

The beef we had on the Noordam and Westerdam was great -- I am a beef eater.

But as cutbacks keep going on -- I doubt if the quality of beef will be like what we get at home anymore.

Me either !! People look at me like I am nuts but I don't care for Ben & Jerry's ice cream. I LOVE ice cream but not this particular brand.

Favorites:
Soups - both hot and cold are good
Desserts - Chocolate Bombe, Tangerine sherbert, but I haven't seen this in years.

Worst:
Desserts - Watermelon pie. I don't think they offer this anymore.
Dinner - Steak can be hit or miss. Sometimes good, other times not so good.
