Krazy Kruizers - A Request While You Are Cruising!

KK ( Yonnie) .... If you have time in Huatulco, Mexico ... would you look at that beach where the cruise ships dock and tell us if it seems decent. Also if there are beach bars around that area?

Know you and DH are leaving this Thursday (4/17) for Florida to go on a fantastic 21 day repositioning cruise on Westerdam (4/19) so wanted to catch you before you left.

    BON VOYAGE!

    Hi LuLu

We have been to Huatulco several times.

There are beaches right by the pier -- but you have to pay to rent chairs. There are several restaurants right there that are on the beach.

Hope you are going there on one your cruises.

Last year we did this tour: Five Bays Catamaran -- this is not a beach tour!! -- you go by 5 bays -- we had some rough waters for awhile.

Unfortunately we didn't get to stop at Huatulco I wasn't able to find out the current prices for the beach chairs and etc.

KK .... Thanks for the info! Rather glad you did not go there on Westerdam as scheduled ... considering the circumstances.

Yes, we are scheduled to be in Hautulo twice in February 2010 on a Panama Canal Cruise because we made it into a B2B.

You KNOW me too well so totally understood my main interest was the beach bar situation.

That "Five Bays Catamaran" also sounds very interesting. Rough water doesn't bother us and we don't necessarily have to be in the water as long as we are on the water and not a tour bus.

    Thanks so much!

Yonnie, here's our itinerary (leaving 2/18/2010):

Ft.Lauderdale... AtSea...Jamaica... AtSea...Panama Canal w/evening Fuerte Amador ...AtSea...Puntarenas, Costa Rica...San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua...Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala...Huatulco, MX...Acapulco. THEN BACK with minor changes. Total 20 days.

Underlined above are the 4 places we've never been so any help with these would be appreciated. You KNOW what we like!

    That's a great schedule.

Wish HAL did something like that -- instead HAL does 14 day cruises from Ft Lauderdale to San Diego and then 14 days back to Ft Lauderdale -- on an old ship -- the Maasdam -- which has seen better days.
