I have read so many different threads about the other cruise lines having 2 and 3 alternative restaurants.
Do you think HAL should add another alternative restaurant?
And I don't mean the Lido to count as one.

No, I don't. I'm quite happy with the current system. The reason I sail with them is because I like things pretty much the way they are. I don't want HAL to become like all the others. No, for us one alternative choice is fine with all the other offerings available on-board.
I honestly would not mind them doing this. As mentioned by another poster on the other board they are considering an Italian Restaurant for the Oosterdam. I think that might be nice. Especially on the Vista Class ships. I think the other ships are too small the just the Pinnacle is fine.

I generally like the current set up; I wouldn't oppose an extra restaurant, like the Pinnacle, but I do hope they're open for lunch. I've eaten lunch in the Lido, of course, and in the Main Dining room many times ... but I'd like another option.
I would also love to see them add another alternative restaurant - Itialian just like we used to have.

Where would you put it....
Generally we have not seen the Pinnacle full every night so would it be cost effective...

NO, I would not like to see an additional restaurant that costs more $$.
Like crusin fools I would not like to see Hal become a clone of other lines.

You will not see the Pinnacle full at any given time. It was explained to us that because of limited facilities in the kitchens on some ships and a small kitchen on the Vista class ships, they limit the number of people who can dine at any one time. That's why you see so many tables empty. The most they can handle is 1/2 of the restaurant at one time.

Never knew that. Thank you for the update....
Doesn't make sense to put in a restaurant that you can only put at 50% capacity.......![]()

While choices are nice, I'd not be wildly in favor of another alternative restaurant. It would take away room from something else, and we've seen the ire that's been raised by some from HAL taking stuff away to enlarge the spa and create the teen Oasis on the non-vista ships. So I guess I'm saying leave well enough alone. One alternative is enough, IMO.
