John Mulvany was our favorite. We had him on a several ships. Got to know him and talked to him many times.

Does Mr. Mulvaney hiss, snarl, and curse you out as he shoves a plate of "inadaquate, undercooked pasta" onto your chest??

NO.
John was very personable. He made certain that everything that came out of his kitchens was done correctly. If he got a complaint he went directly to the source and straightened things out.
John was promoted in 2004 as the overhead chef for all the ships. His duty is to go around to the various ships and check on what is happening and incorporate new ideas.

I would have to say Wolfgang. Never heard a second name. He was wonderful. He would come by our table during dinner and ask if we were pleased with whatever he'd made that night. Several times he sent something "special" over to us. Mmmmm.
I would also have to say John Mulvaney. We first met him on the Rotterdam. Later, you could just tell when he was on the ship by the food. I know that sounds strange, but he just has a magic touch. I can see why he went on to oversee chef training for Holland America.

That may be Wolfgang Wasshausen - we had him on the Zaandam in 2002.
