    Question Reading and DVD's opportunity

    Hello to you all!

On the Noordam, in the Exploration Café I understand that there are DVDs and books available to passengers.
Is this library well stocked, do it contains recent books, popular, any thematic naval books. In your mind is there some books in French ? — Any magazines ?
Regarding the DVD, any recent titles ..?
How to loan one of these documents? Are there any fees, etc.

Thank you in advance to take few minutes to try to enlighten me on this subject.

In short, do I bring my own selection of books and DVDs?
And as long at it, do we receive daily (with the possibility to drop door in the morning room service? Just the NY Times or another newspaper?

    Holacanada from Quebec city

On board in 10 days, 9 hours, 15 minutes and 35 seconds.

The libararies are very well stocked. There are books in various languages - but not many. As to naval books -- can't answer that.

There are lots of DVD's -- most are not current films. If you are in a PS, SA, SB or SC Delux suite -- they are free -- otherwise there is a rental fee.

There is an Explorations Cafe Manager who is in charge of everything -- signing out any books you wish to read -- no fee there -- getting games and cards for people -- getting the DVD's -- putting out the daily quizzes and Sudoku puzzles, etc.

There are magazines that you can read in the library/Explorations Cafe.

Each cabin will receive sometime during the morning an abbreviated copy of the New York Times Digest -- very small paper.

Not sure what you are asking about room service??? Each evening your cabin steward will leave a card in your room if you wish to order breakfast for your cabin -- you fill out the card and place it on your door handle before 2 AM.

It is very rare when the ships get USA Today or any other Newspaper like the Wall Street Journal.

21 days on the Veendam and we only got USA Today when we were in Tampa.

Westerdam for 26 days -- many American ports -- no newspapers.
