The Grey Goose Martinis are also mentioned in the thread where HAL is doing away with the Piano Bar.

We used to get Grey Goose on the rocks -- we stopped ordering them 2 years ago when the price shot to $8.95 for just barely an ounce.

I can't imagine what the price of those drinks will be!!

One thing we have noticed on our last few cruises -- the bars are not loaded with people like in the old days.

I hear ya! Celebrity has gone up on the price of their martinis. They are not all priced the same---from $9.95 up to $14.95 the last time I saw a Celebrity menu from the Martini Bar. That was last year, so there may have been some changes since then.

The Pinao Bar on some of the ships is the only bar that attracts a lot of people -- now it is going to be replaced by this new Martini Bar.

I can't see a lot of people paying highwe prices for drinks when they aren't paying the present prices.

    Love martinis

I sorry to hear they are doing away with the piano bars. They are our favorite place to hang out. I would think you could highlight martinis and still have a piano bar.
    Have a GREAT day! Gayla

On 7 day cruises, people tend to spend more money -- so maybe those Martinis might sell on those cruises.

But we have watched on the longer cruises how people were not spending money in the bars.

On one ship a couple of years ago, halfway through the cruise, there was a special meeting of the bar staff -- for afew days they were trying to get people to buy drinks. A couple of times the Ocean Bar staff would stand outside and tell people how great the Ocean Bar was and to come in and order a drink. Iy didn't work.

HAL just doesn't understand that people are not going to pay high prices for barely an ounce of liquor.

Wish you would explain what you mean by "do not like the way they charge your card and then back it off"??????

Please be advised that you can only carry on board wine and champagne. HAL does not allow you to carry on your own alcohol. You can buy alcohol through Ship Services at 1-800-541-1576 at least 10 days before your cruise. I will include the prices here. Or you can order alcohol through room service.
