    Booking Tours

Here I am again: should we book our excursions through HAL, either on board or precruise, or wait until we get to Hawaii and book tours from dock. I understand it is quite a bit cheaper to book on land from local companies. Anybody have any experience and preference when in Hawaii. TIA.

Hi May, congratulations!! Lots of members here have sailed to Hawaii, you will hear from them soon with suggestions!!
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

JMO - we prefer to book our tours through HAL. That way if anything goes wrong, HAL will take care of it. Also if a tour runs late, the ship will wait for you. But if you are touring independently and something happens - the ship won't wait for you.
