I just noticed in today's paper that the price of our cruise has dropped by $100. We booked with Cruise Plus, who were running the ad. Does this mean that we should also get a price drop in our booking.

May, not sure who cruise plus is, but I would get right on the phone to them and ask for the reduced fare. I only ever use a TA and they always are cooperative and get the reduced fares. Hurry girl, hurry.

I hve already called them and left a message. Just waiting for them to return my call. Just wanted to know what the answer would be from an "experienced cruiser". Will let you know.
Look carefully at the ad for a caveat.
There may be some fine print saying something like "new bookings only."
If there isn't then you have a chance!
Just had a look at the ad and it does say"New bookings only", so it looks like I am up the river without a paddle. I went into the computer and our cabin an outside, is now $200 less per person. That's a lot of money. If they don't do anything about it, I will never use them again. Cruise Plus ca. I think they are some kind of wholesaler. You sure learn!!!!
They do that a lot to fill up ships!! I wouldn't use a company like that, I would go with a TA that gives you personal service that will be on your side, that you can reach every day!!
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.
Cruise Plus CA just called me back. It seems that today's ad is in US dollars and I paid in CAD dollars. Also, the new price for an outside cabin, which is what I have, is a lower category with a porthole. We have an unobstructed view, EE 1909 on the Dolphin Deck, Zaandam. So with conversion rates, it would not be worth my time to ask for a reduction. Anyways, worth a try. Anyone been in this category cabin and how was it?? Thanks for your help. The other message boards are not very good at answering you. TIA.
We love helping here!!I have not sailed HAL but here is a deck plan for Dolphin deck, you are toward the aft, not a long walk to the elevator, I think it is a great spot!!

Thanks Sue. Yes, I had looked at the deck plans and it seemed to be exactly what we were looking for. Just wondered if anybody had any actual experience on this part of the ship. Thanks again.
As was mentioned, sometimes they irritate the hell out of us and offer a special for 'new bookings only'. You didn't mention which cruise line, but with Princess, for example, if you've already booked, you can't get the special. And if you cancel and rebook it, they'll find out about it (the run some type of computer program) and they'll put you rate back up to the original amount.
If it's not for new bookings only, then your TA had better get the reduced rate for you or I'd find another TA. Unless of course you've already made your final payment and it's NCL or Carnival! NCL will not give you the reduced rate after final payment and Carnival will usually only give onboard credit.
