    Good Morning May.

We use a TA that we can actually go to and talk to. Have used her for over 22 years.

In the past when we saw the price of one of our cruises drop, and if it was at least 10% and final payment hadn't been done, we were able to get the lower price without having to cancel our booking and booking again. But times are chaning and even HAL is making it hard for people to get the lower rates after booking. They are constantly using the phrase "for new bookings only".

One thing we have noticed is that the last couple of years none of our cruises have gone down in price.

Cabin location -- have never stayed in that area of the ship. What I would be concerned with -- engine noise??

Oh, Oh!!! Didn't think about that. Looked at what was above us and to the side, etc., but didn't think about underneath us. So, the engine rooom is at the back of the ship?? Is that correct?? This doesn't show up on the deck plans. I wonder if I can change it now?? I also wonder how noisy it would actually be. Anybody have any experience on the Dolphin Deck, aft. Is that the correct term. Anybody would think this was my first cruise. Sometimes, I think we get too fussy and should just relax and take it as it comes.

The deck plans never show what is below the passenger decks. As a rule the engines are about midships and about 3 decks below (asked my husband). So you should be all right.

May, we had a porthole cabin on our first cruise - an upgrade from an inside cabin so we were ecstatic. That said, with the difference in cabins, I would stay where you are.
