Sorry, NO.
Hal has ESPN International. Sometimes a game might be shown or taped but don't count on it. It is the exception. This channel shows mostly international sports like rugby. There is very little from the USA being shown.

While not familar with HAL..........it has been my experience that after leaving port, only ESPN is normally available. No FoxSW, CBS or ABC.......
Hope this helps although not specific to HAL

Thanks for the info... My DH will be disappointed since the Aggies broadcast will be on ABC & sirius satellite this week. Oh well........![]()

I do not have good news. The biggest complaint my husband had about our cruise in Sep 2003 was that the Sportsbar was only playing Soccer on the Sat. morning we were on the ship. "They shouldn't call it a Sports Bar! They should call it a Sport Bar! Only one sport! and it's the wrong one!!!!" Now they did show the Aggie game that afternoon, but there was a big game in the morning that he had to miss. Now I have to schedule cruises around major games.Originally Posted by Big4Chaps
BTW, we were on RC. I hope HAL is more understanding.

I like when the announcers are speaking a langage other than english but there are still some guys that have there eyes glued to the TV.![]()
When we cruised on the Westerdam last January, they kept annoucing that they were going to show the play offs - IT never happened. They finally made an annoucement that the satellite wasn't picking up anything. They claimed that they had talked to Princess and RCI and they reported the same thing. Don't know whether to believe them or not.

Cruising is a wonderful way to enjoy retirement!!
Stopped counting after 110 cruises.
KK - it may be that they planned to show the games, and then found out that they had to pay to get them unscrambled. They have the ability to bring in almost any network, so I don't know why they can't show more than one channel! But special events may cost them too much money to be cost-effective.
