We will be giving Celebrity another try very soon, and I will comment on the similarities as well as the differences that I have noticed between Celebrity and HAL when I return.
I Am anxious to hear your comparison of HAL and "X".

It's definitely my favorite cruise line,
but I'm waiting for Sher to give her comparison.
HAL definitely sounds like something special too.

I love HAL too but I'm branching out and trying some other lines for my next 2 cruises.

I am really going to try to give you an honest look at what I liked and didn't like as much. I try to go into every cruise with no expectation, I find I am generally then pleasantly surprised.

RCCL used to be our favorite but the food quality has really gone down. We've sailed Carnival and Princess. Both have pro's and cons. I'd sure like to settle on one cruise line that we like best to get the frequent sailing perks.

Some of your perks from Princess and Carnival should apply to HAL, since they are all part of the "World's Leading Cruise Lines" (those owned by Carnival) and they are part of the Vacation Interchange Privileges (VIP) program of those lines.

Thanks Mindy! I didn't know that.

What was the outcome on the HAL cruise you were thinking about booking?

I did it! A forward balcony, Prinsendam, 7/3/08. Most of the good rooms are gone, and my TA had to make sure we got a room with beds that could be put together. (!) Now I have to wait over a year for it.....

But just think Mindy, once you take that first one in 2008, it will be just a few months more until you get to the 2nd cruise.
