No confirmation yet, but rumor has it that Carnival is selling Holiday & will be moving Fantasy to Mobile. If anybody really enjoys this ship.....it might be a good time to book it before it's gone.

hmmmm . . .
It wouldn't be surprising - it's one of their older, smaller ships. Probably brings in the levels revenue that was once acceptable, but no longer are.
Wonder who the potential buyer might be?
My hubby says that he's noticed some other lines (like P&O) have taken over some of the older Carnival and Princess ships -- noted on the webcam site he likes to check. We've been on the Holiday a couple of times in the 90s and compared to ships built nowadays, it does seem on the small size.

I think a possible buyer could be one of those smaller European or Asian lines.
The Asians are really wanting to gear up on cruising.
The rumor mill got kind of quite. Haven't heard anything mentioned about the future of Holiday lately.
This was my least favorite ship so not sad to see it go....if it does.

Anything new on this??

And hope the boat is not!!!
We were just on the Holiday a few weeks ago. It is being sold and will relocate to the Med sea for the shorter jaunts around the islands there. They spoke of a ship maybe the Sensation, taking her place. The Fantasy would be a nice one, but still old. We took the Fantasy out of N.O. in January, she was a little shaky in the Gulf.
Oh, BTW, new to the boards here. Take care, Eric.
