Well most people will tell you to stay midship and the lower the better. That will be the smoothest area of the ship.
Also back some Bonine with you, it's great for sea sickness.

I took some with me on my first cruise - always be prepared!
I never had to use it though - I ended up offering it someone I met as they felt a bit sick.
I never gotten sea sick yet, but watching my wife a couple times has convinced me to avoid it at all cost.. She usually takes Dramamine, Bonine before we even leave port.
If your just suffering a little nausea, try ordering 'apples & crackers' from room service. It must be a chemical thing between the two, or just a placebo, but it does work.
Some ships give out Dramamine free, but some charge, Really Charge.. Like a pack of 4 (a days supply) for for $3.99. If your prone to seasickness, or just don't want to take a chance, pick up a bottle at Walmart, or the like, before you leave. For a couple dollars more you can buy a bottle of 100.
Never!

I never get seasick. I still take Bonine the day before the cruise and sometime during the middle just to be safe.

My MIL always did until she started wearing the accupressure bracelet. She swears by it. I've always felt the motion for about a week after the cruise, never during.

That happens to me too. Every now and then for days after the cruise I'll still feel the boat rocking. So out of nowhere I start swaying while I'm walking and I look like I'm drunk.

Normally NO........but on the Rhapsody 2 years ago we skirted Hurricane Isidore and even half the ships crew got sick...........One Bonine and I slept for 12 hours.......never been sick on any other cruise to date.
This is the only real fear i have on taking a cruise. i have yet to go on one, but am wanting to arrange one for my wife and I maybe this summer, but it would really stink to spend all that money and end up getting sick out at sea. Is this really a major problem and is there anyway you can sorta prepare for it?
