I was ill on the Golden . Sicker than a dog after catching some upper respiratory on the plane. I pretty much stayed in bed for 2 days and slept. Our steward kept trying to get my DH to take me to the infirmary but I am a stubborn nurse and felt the best thing was to stay in my cabin. Took some OTC meds that I had brought and by the 3rd day I felt much better. I did continue to stay in the cabin oron the balcony as much as possible to avoid contact with others.

thank goodness we have not! I've heard some horror stories though!![]()

We haven't either thank goodness............
Me - By the grace of God, NO!
My mom on the other hand yes. On the plane she came down with a really bad sinus headache. Once the ship started moving dad had to call the doctor to come for a cabin call. He gave my mom a shot and she slept for the rest of the night. For the rest of the cruise she was a little groggy.
Also a friend, who got married on the Grand Princess, a few days after the wedding fell of a SeaDoo and dislocated her shoulder. A trip to the ship's doctor fixed her right up but her arm had to be in a sling for at least 2 weeks after that.

A Cruise Princess & Disney Freak
I've gotten bad cases of hay fever both times in Puerta Vallerta and once in the Caribbean. Now, I bring plenty of allergy medicine as I take it every day anyway. Hubby comes down with a respiratory ailment which he realizes now is from the ship water. So he's going to start taking decongestant before our cruise and see if it helps, along with making his own coffee and tea with bottled water.
We did visit the infirmary when girl came down with an allergy attack and she was given a children's antihistimine.
You can tell we're traveling with a drug store in our carry ons this next cruise.

I haven't but members of my family have while on board.
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.
Both DH and I have gotten colds. Since I bring our own medications - don't have to see the doctor.
Never stayed in bed either.
