My wife and I use the gyms religiously on cruises, but rarely go when at home.

I'm the same way... I guess its a psychological thing?

Also, when I'm at home its such a hassle to get to the gym, gotta go through traffic and drive all the way over there..

On a ship, its so much easier because its right there!

I don't go to the gym, but I like walking fast on the jogging track each morning. It's especially nice if we're coming into port and each time I go whole circle around the ship we're a little closer and I get a different view.

When HAL had the Passport To Fitness program, we both enjoyed walking the mile in the morning and then some. Couldn't do the afternoon one as it was always at 4:30 and we had to leave time to get dress and have a cocktail before 6 (in those days) dinner.

We are taking a bunch of shore excursions on the upcoming cruise, and every one of their descriptions says "wear comfortable shoes/moderate walking/strenuous walking/some steep walking" or something similar that makes me think we're going to get our exercise. I might skip the gym and the jogging track on this trip!

We really miss the Passport to Fitness program as well. We took part in a lot of things - ring toss - golf - basketball toss - etc.
