I've never had a bad experience with a well-maintained hot tub. Of course, I don't use it if I have open wounds, and I shower afterwards. I also won't use it if I see drunk people in it, or small children.
I would think that the adults only hot tubs, such as in the Spa area, would be fine... and I plan to use them, if possible

I did manage a hotel, once upon a time, and do know just how icky it can all get, so I'm not ignorant

How to clear a Hot Tub on a Ship.
By: Dave

For men,, this is easy,,
Wear a loose set of swim trunks,, and "Tuck" a smaller set in the back side hiding it..
As you enter the hot tub,, speak and say hello in a Norweigan Accent..
Once you are sitting and relaxed.
Wiggle around very noticably and let out a nice "Ahhhhh,, Much Better".
Then toss the extra set of swim trunks on the deck by the hot tub so everyone can see..

Enjoy the remaining hour or so alone.

No, I've only been to warm climate cruises and it just doesn't appeal to me. I get sooooo hot and then can't get cooled down and its miserable for me. I don't have to worry about how sanitary they are because I don't use them anyway.

I ABSOLUTELY use them. It's part of my vacation. Just need to be vigilant about precautions afterward.

Although I've never been on Fantasy, I think I had that same couple on the Sensation once. Clearly honeymooners, they let everyone know they were "using" the tub by strategically spacing their 3 pieces of clothing draped around the edge of the tub for everyone to see.

This didn't go on in the middle of the day, but they were not shy about letting everyone know when they did choose to partake. They were the talk of the ship, and everyone stared when they walked through a room. They knew it, and yet their hot tub nonsense continued the whole cruise.

I expect to use the on the Brilliance OS. I always shower before and after public spa areas and will avoid going in if children are present. I must take 2 pair of swim trunks. I will let you know if I catch anything.
