Home. Sweet, Home
I would never book a cabin in the Bow, under/over a lounge, dining room, pool deck, buffet. Most stable is midship/low. I always book the aft, but if it is rough back there it pretty much is all over the ship!!
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.
Unless you are prone to Motion sickness where you have a cabin on a ship isn't really an issue. Some people like aft others swear by forward. etc. The Spirit is not a new ship but it is not a small ship either. It is over 75,000 gross tons compared to say the Majesty which is about 41,000 tons and the Pearl which is 93,000.
You might want to look for a cabin that is on a deck with cabins above and below.
Have a great cruise! We were hoping to cruise on the Spirit next year but had a change of plans.
We usually like a room just a few doors down from the nearest elevator. However, on the last cruise, we were directly in line with the hallway at the elevator and steps, and at any time of the night, there were always people who stopped right outside our room, talking and laughing, before going their separate ways. Stay away from the elevator areas.

Does anyone know anything about 7002 and 7003 on Summit? Is there a lot of noise in these cabins when the ancor is put down? I am reserved in one (I can't recall which) for a cruise this winter. Also, if anyone knows about the size and layout and could let me know, I'd be grateful.
Since we always book suites -- on the R and S class ships we are always up high and forward.
On the Vista class ships, the majority of the suites are midships.
But it doesn't make any difference where are our suite is, I know the minute the stabilizers are turned off for the night. I feel the gentle sway of the ship.

Cruising is a wonderful way to enjoy retirement!!
Stopped counting after 110 cruises.
It is peculiar how the best is in the worst. First class in an airliner is always in the front. Abourd ship the smoothest ride is right in the middle of the ship where all the axis of movement is. Just like the center of a 'seesaw' The playground thing.
I think the middle of the ship is best, like about the 5,6 or 7th floor is always in reach of all the action on the ship.
