Do kids get seasick easily? I'm taking my little grandson's this time and want to be ready. Do those ginger altoids work well or should I get something in addition to them?

Having cancer is hard. Finding help shouldn't be. No matter what you need,
the American Cancer Society can help. Call anytime 1-800-ACS-2345.
if they are allowed to have soft drinks.... in case they do get upset stomaches .. think Ginger-ale..
Dont know about the altoids.. never thought about it
Carol I will be honest, I would take them to the doctor and get something from them, I would feel better about it!!
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.
Carol...I always tell my 5 year old...if her tummy starts to feel funny to let me know...I gave her the childrens chewable Dramamine (MD said it was fine)...and we never had any troubles....
If there is real ginger in the altoids...yes, they will help some...
There is also a liquid called "Motion Eaze"...I got some at Wallyworld...put a few drops behind the ears...does it work? I don't really know...
Also, eat a roll or some other starch...
Definitely, contact the pediatrician's office (their parents can do that for you).
Amazingly, my little one has never gotten motion sickness so I'm the one popping the ginger Altoids and drinking the ginger ale like crazy on a cruise. She can even read in the car, which I can't.
Another helpful aid could be saltines. Usually the waiters will bring them to the dining table so toddlers can play with them. If the kids are a bit iffy and you're skipping dinner, see if the cabin steward can get some for you or send someone to the dining room.

If I may add some "Old Time Navy" secrets..
For very mild cases of Sickness, Saltine or Oyster Crackers are ways of keeping the stomache accids down. Also ,, being on a "weather Deck" helps.
Keep away from Greasy foods. Ginger Ale is great, but also Gatoraid.
But now, here is the one trick to help with advanced sickness. If you feel very quizy and starting to vomit,, Bite down on your bottom lip. Suck your lip into your mouth and give it a bite.. Not too hard, just firm and accross the bottom of the lip under the actual lip part. As low on the lip as you can.
For some reason, there is a pressure point there that will reduce the chance of Throwing up..
KOOL Thanks!!![]()

Snoodel...that is interesting....I wish I knew that when I was pregnant...lmao!
