    ReliefBands for seasickness

Just in case anyone is interested in getting a ReliefBand, I ran across a 1/2 price sale on them at Sharper Image (I do not have any connection to this product or company.)

I have used mine for three years now, and it is amazing. This is the online description:
ReliefBand® is the only drug-free and FDA-cleared electronic treatment for nausea due to motion sickness — without drowsiness, dizziness or other potentially dangerous side effects of anti-nausea drugs. Non-invasive and reusable, ReliefBand works before or even after symptoms have kicked in, with no restrictions on eating or drinking. Ideal for travel by land, sea or air.

This discreet device is worn like a watch on the underside of your wrist. Generates gentle, intermittent pulses of electronic signals believed to interfere with nausea messages between the stomach and brain. Five levels of stimulation. Water and shock resistant. Measures 1 1/2" x 1/2", weighs 3 oz. The 9-inch leather strap has extender for larger wrists. Comes with travel case and 10-ml tube of conductivity gel. Runs on two 3V lithium batteries (included). 90-day warranty.

Good catch, Carol, but bad math.

Oh, excuse me for speaking in general and not being precise! The information was intended to be the point.

    These sound interesting...

I am one of the fortunate ones who is not easily affected by motion sickness.
I took Dramaminee ONCE, because we were sailing during a hurricane, and thought it might be prudent to take something.

It made me incredibly drowsy - even though it said right on the package that it wouldn't.
If I ever think I might need something like that again, maybe I should try a patch or bracelet...

Sorry, Carol. I was just being a smart alec (or something else that starts with a). I knew exactly what you meant, but I just had to make a comment. I'll try to control myself a little better. Again, I apologize, and I did really appreciate the information.

My DW has used SeaBands for years and they work great.
They are elastic without the eletronics.
    Rather inexpensive as well.
