You can get a refund or change dates up to the date of final payment. I do not recall the exact time frame but I am sure you can not cruise after the 8th month.

Of course, as someone who has been with child on a cruise...I highly recommend it. The best time is the second trisemester. The mom-to-be is through with the first trimester (if there's a tendency with miscarriage, it's best not to be traveling then, and if there's a problem with morning sickness -- which I didn't have at all -- it tends to disappear by the fourth month).
The fourth through six months is a great time to kick back and relax and what better place, then a cruise. There are maternity swimsuits and long dresses for formal night.
Here's some things to remember:
1. No soft cheese (risk for listeria) and certain seafood is out (check with the ob-gyn for all food restrictions).
2. No hot tub.
3. Wear comfy clothes -- I avoided polyester like the plague as one's thermostat tends to go on the blink at this time.
4. Be careful with the stairs, but by all means keep up your exercise routine.
5. Get to your dentist early in your pregnancy. Some dental work is hard to do, esp. without xrays. I had to have a crown replaced and the temp just wouldn't stay on. This was during my cruise, which frustrated me because I would have been able to eat a lot as I was okay, weight-wise.
It's been nine years so I probably forgot some points.

I got burnt on this one with a client...she was pregnant at the time of booking and insurance considered this a "pre-existing" and did not cover the booking. We were within the cancellation period so it was a loss of the insurance plus $500. I am not sure how they would handle pregnancy after booking...Originally Posted by Rex

Rex,
There is nothing better than going on a family cruise.
I love it.

I'm with you, I would feel doomed too! Becoming a parent is a huge step and definitely not for everyone. I hope you two make this important decission together and not just because one of you wants it. You are a parent for life!Originally Posted by Rex
