    Read that one all the way through for sure!

    It mentions the well-equiped infirmaries of today's cruise ships.
    I can attest to that. My DH had three EKG's aboard Celebrity's Zenith last year.
    The Doctor was superb!

    Thanks for sharing that article. Being a nurse, I found it very interesting. And especially since my dad's life was saved on our very first cruise. The ships medical staff work very long and hard hours!! Kudos to them!

    After reading about the NCL lawsuit on that whole thing where they could not do a blood tranfusion on-board, I would caution readers that the capabilities of a ships medical facilities and their medical crew may vary greatly cruise line to cruise line and ship to ship. So, do not assume the excellence discussed in this article is representative of other cruise lines or ships.
