Love the Oasis!

written by ametrinel posted on 15/02/14

My husband and I had this booked for months and he was laid off in October. We decided to go ahead and take the cruise to try to clear our heads and figure out what steps we take next.

This was our second time on the Oasis. Our cabin (balcony, Deck 7) was well laid out. There is plenty of storage available and your suitcases slide under the bed easily to keep them out of the way. They changed the plug-ins since our first trip. Now they are available on top of the counter, instead of having to get down on our hands and knees and dig around underneath. Much better this time.

The food in the dining room was amazing. We were celebrating my husbands birthday and our anniversary during this cruise and each night they made it special for us. Our servers were very attentive and always had our drinks waiting for us before we even arrive at the table. Our table mates were perfect for us, as well. Lots of good conversation.

We only took one shore excursion. We went snorkeling in Jamaica (booked through RCCL). It was very well done and they provided sandwiches and drinks for the sail back.

The shows were very professional. Hairspray is a hoot! All the shows we saw were very well done and professionally produced.

The ship is very large, but you don't really notice all the people. There are so many different places for people to be that it doesn't seem crowded. The only time it felt crowded to us, was between the dinner seatings in the promenade area. That could be a madhouse. But otherwise, not a problem.

This was our second trip on the Oasis and we loved each one. Highly recommended.

Back to back cruising

by Baw079

We travelled to the Caribbean to complete east & west back to back cruises. We felt travelling that distance for seven nights would not give us time to recover from jet lag, and so it was. We were on deck eleven at the rear starboard side of the ship....

Oasis of the Seas - Itself a Destination

Although the sheer size of the ship intimidates many passengers, I absolutely loved all the extra amenities and options. The Oasis is so massive that it feels like you are at a large hotel or resort rather than on a ship. We never felt the movement o...

Oasis of the Seas Thanksgiving Cruise

CABINS The best cabin I've ever had on any cruise ship, period! We had a balcony room (10278) which had the good layout with the bed by the balcony door so we had plenty of room to access our closet. The bathroom is well laid out and felt spacious, an...

Oasis "on" the Seas

Last year, we had the pleasure of sailing on the Oasis of the Seas. The rooms were a tad smaller than on the rest of the line, but just as nice. We typically have a Junior Suite, but had a balcony superior on this cruise. The food was great and you had...
