I like Costa....
I went to Venice, Italy at 16. September, and stayed in a small hotel just outside Venice, in Mestre for 1 night.
The 17. September I eat breakfast at the hotel and then I check out and left with the bus for Venice. It only takes about 15 min. Then I did take the people mover and after a little walk I was at the ship. It was so good looking, so I was very excited to go onboard, but I was there to early, so I left my suitcase with the cruise line, and went back to the people mover and spend a couple of hours there, before going back to the ship. I think that I waited for about 30-45 min. And I was onboard.
I went to my cabin and my suitcase was already there. Nice. I did a small un packing and went for lunch. There was not so many people jet, so it was very nice to eat at the buffet. I did eat breakfast and lunch here every day and if there were too many people, I went to my cabin and eat the food there.
The sail away from Venice was so beautiful. Just amazing .
At night I was at the 2. seating in the restaurant, and I was put together with 2 ladies from Wales, UK and 1 couple from Australia with their 17 year old granddaughter. We had a fab. Time together. The food in the restaurant was nice. I have had better and I have had worse. So I was pretty happy about it. And the service was so fine.
The day after we came to Bari, Italy and I just went for myself with the shuttle bus. I Walked around and looked at all the pretty houses and went to the Castello. Nice day in nice weather.
The next day we came to Katakolon, Greece and again I just went for a walk into the nice little town. Many others went to Olympia, but I had seen that before, so I just relaxed and enjoyed the nice weather.
Next day we were at Santorini, and I went on a trip to the town Oia. It was a trip I had bought on the ship, and I went with my new friends from Australia. Oia is a beautiful town and I just loved Santorini. I have to come back one day.
Then it was Rhodes, where I again just walked into town, did a little shopping and went for a swim in the ocean. The weather was just fantastic. I also did go on a free trip to a gold factory. Had a really nice day.
Then we had a sea day, so I enjoyed the sun, went to the gym and was just enjoying myself. Love sea days.
The last stop before Venice was Dubrovnik, Croatia. Lovely town where I have been before. I went with my Australian friends and walked the city walls with them. A nice trip with a beautiful view.
Then back on the ship and enjoying the last sun. Did most of the packing, before I went to the restaurant for the last dinner. It was hard to say goodbye to my new friends and to the staff.
Next morning we came back to Venice and I had 2 days hear on the same hotel in Mestre.
As you can understand, I had a lovely trip with Costa Fascinosa. I like the cruise line, and I would like to go with them again. The ship was big, but pretty easy to get around on. I didnt like all of the colors but most of it was nice, and it was very clean everywhere.
Some of the shows where very good and some I didnt liked. Not better or worse than many other cruise lines.
My cabin was big and I loved the big bed just for me. Did sleep like a baby.
The staff is nice and helpful and I have really nothing to complain about. Only that I want to go again
