Acommodations: Better than adaquete, bed was comfortable. Lots of room, would prefer sliding doors to a balcony.

Shore Excursions: They were okay, St John's didn't impress me at all. Seemed to be weatherbeaten. Nova Scotia was much nicer. Peggy's Cove was nice and the tour guide was very passionate about the area. The weather was terrible.

entertainment: Not good at all. Production shows were very campy. If you remember the boy band INSYC the best way to describe the dancers was Out Of Sync. They had an outside movie venue on like a drive in screen but they chose to feature 20 year old movies, not sure why. They should have had a comedy show every night.

Dining was hit or miss, mostly miss. They did have an excellent variety especially during lunch. Fish & Chips were good. All food served at the grill was excellent. My favorite was the deli. The corned beef and pastromi combo was my favorite. The buffet was so-so at best. They often didn't replace items once they ran out. (including dishes and coffee cups)

staff/service: Our room steward was good but seemed overworked. The waitstaff was verv unfriendly but okay. I did notice that the seem to run out of things that you should never run out of, for instance ginger ale in the dining room after leaving canda....Did it occur to carnival that they may sell Canada Dry gingerale in Canada. Would give overall service a C- most because they were understaffed and most waitstaff unpersonal.

We did enjoy ourselves and would consider going on another carnival cruise if we got a good deal. They are much better than norweign but not nearly as good as Princess. It only took as 25 minutes from the dock to our room which was amazing.. I would give this cruise maybe a C+

Carnival Glory to Canada

My parents, grandmother, uncle, and I (21) set sail on the Carnival Glory on July 17, 2010 for our return to Canada. We hadn't been on this cruise since 2002, and we hadn't been on the Glory since 2006. For me personally, both were a completely new exp...
