We left from Ft. Lauderdale on Jan. 2, 2011 and it was a beautiful day out and we had a wonderful lunch in the Rotterdam for Mariners. The food on this cruise was amazing as were the staff in the dining room. My son and I are gluten intolerant and they made sure that everyone in the dining room knew of our needs.
Our cabin was wonderful with our first balconey. Our cabin stewarts went above and beyond the call of duty and made sure to always clean with eco-friendly products due to my son's allergies.
Our excursions were well planned and reasonably priced. My son refused to get in the cold water with the stingrays at Half Moon and the ship refunded our money which was a pleasant surprise to us.
Not even sure to start with the HAL club for kids but my son fell in love with all the helpers in that area. All of the people were awesome with the kids and had plenty of activities to keep them busy. Whenever we would have to pick our 7 year old up, because they were closing, he was very sad and couldn't wait to get back after dinner.
All in all, it was a great cruise. We were a little lost because we were in the front of the ship and it was larger then the other ships we had been but found our way around quickly.

ARE UPGRADES ALWAYS A GOOD THING?The cruise was for our 40th anniversary. When we arrived at the pier to board we were "upgraded" from an oceanview suite with couch and chair and plenty of storage space to a handicapped cabin that had no seating aside from the bed and limited storage...
CIRQUE de SOLEIL DisappointmentI now have a total of 70 days aboard Holland America ships,Veendam,Volendam,Zuiderdam,Noordam and Eurodam. I have enjoyed all of them, the last night in the main dining room on the Eurodam was a special treat with all the waiters participating in a danc...
Great Cruise! What a great cruise on a great ship! This was a cruise to celebrate ?life? as it was our first after a very serious accident that left DH disabled. We did spoil ourselves. We had cabin 7049 which is a deluxe verandah suite directly across the passag...
Not Only Your Grandparents Cruise LineI just returned from a seven night sailing on the Eurodam and it's definitely not your parents cruise line. Embarkation was a little chaotic but because I was booked last minute, I could print out any of my shipboard documents so it was very delay...
Caribbean CruiseThis was an OK cruise for the $$. Definitely not up to the caliber of Celebrity or Azamara, especially in the Main Dining room. Specialty restaurants were great (the ones you pay for) not the Italian one, Cannelleto?? it was like Olive Garden at best...
