From sad to ecstatic
Everything aboard ship was absolutely great - no complaints except that the ship broke down before we even hit the Suez Canal but we weren't told until Alexandria (I think) and we eventually made it to Malta where the ship went into dry dock. The arrangements to get everyone off the island was a huge task but excellently executed even to those who didn't want to fly but travel to the UK by coach. Unfortunately we missed out on Greece but Malta was a wonderful experience. With the free 10 day voucher entitling us to another trip, I then went on the Black Watch in 1999 to the Baltics. I cannot fault anything. It was an amazing trip. I love the Black Watch apart from the glorious food and great entertainment and the most friendly staff, it is also small or big enough to find people to speak to - not like the current mammoth 2000 plus passenger cruise liners where you never see the same people twice. I also hate having a balcony which stops one from mingling. I am hoping to do the Black Watch Cruise to the Mediterrean this year leaving 18th May. Cruising is a way of life and once you have cruised there is no other way to travel.
