A DREAM come true

written by Cowboys Cruiser posted on 07/07/10

My DW and I ventured out to Port Canaveral from Orlando and took our own limo ride from a friend's house.

Must admit that Port Canaveral is a very easy port to leave from. Used our VIP status and were on the ship in no time. Off for lunch as usual and then at 1:30 we got into our room. We're aft cabin people and I must tell you that on the DREAM the aft cabins near the corner are a little different from the othere Carnival ships. The ship is curved at the corners and this tends to eat into some space in the cabin. We noticed that we seemed to have had a little less storage space and the closet had a strange arrangement of front to back hangers. Just an FYI

Weather was fanstastic and we ported in Nassau, St. Thomas and St. Martin. Went to KOKI beach and did a resort dive...........great day with my instructor and a video guys .....talk about being spoiled. Had a blast. We booked a day sail in St. Martin on the Lord Sheffield pirate boat. Had fun but the snorkeling was pretty lame at the spot they anchored at. Nassau was a short stop and we just got off and stretched our legs and did some shopping.

Dining room was great once we got seated at the bigger table. We always asked for this and somehow always get a table for two or four. We like to meet people and the stafff were very good about moving us. Tablemates were great and we had a wonderful wait staff that made the week a real joy.

Cabin steward was very good and greeted us every day by name and no request was too much and Eddy was always ready to please.

John Heald was the CD and I ended up being the guy that professes his love for his wife everytime he mentioned the word CANADA. I'm a born ham so getting up on stage is no big deal for me and we ended up with a bag full of prizes at the end of the week. Sweet! The entertainment was very good and the new comedy club was a nice addition.

Once again...................came home with money from the casino!!!! Good dealers and that money is going to the deposit for the next venture on the MIRACLE next Feb. 7th. Southern itinerary. Can't wait.

Smooth sailing everyone.

This was our first time on The Dream. We really enjoyed the boat's decor. On one stairwell at each floor they had these really neat pictures of animals doing random stuff. We actually walked up and down just to see what the next picture was, the kids r...

Carnival Dream/7 Day Exotic W. Caribbean/10-2-2010

We were very excited to go on this cruise on the Dream. Very disappointed in the new ship configuration. We didn't like the way they extended the promenade deck out so far that you can't see the water from the balconies. One of our favorite things to d...
