Review of the Pacific Dawn

my cruise on P&O (Australia) pacific Dawn.

Hi everyone...My last cruise this year was from June 4- to July 2nd. a wonderful 28 nights.

I live in North Qld, so flew down to Brisbane, then on to Sydney the day before the cruise.

overnighting in a Hotel close to the shipping terminal.

my ports of call were...Noumea (New Caledonia), Nukualofa, and Vava (Tonga)

Raratonga, (Cook Islands), Raitea, Papeete, Moorea, and Bora Bora (Tahiti,) Pago Pago (American Samoa), Apia (Western Samoa), Suva, Savu Savu, Port Denarau, (fiji)

and cruising Tin Can Island (Tonga). to drop off mail.

My husband and I had cruised the inside passage in Alaska in 1998. on board the Regal Princess.....this ship Pacific Dawn is her in another life...there have been a few changes..which I love...where the Casino was is now the Dome, where during the day..Trivia, dancing etc was held, or curl up near the huge windows, with a book or a drink. at night it turned into the disco for the younger set.

The highlights for me were, Moorea, I fell in love with the scenery, the people etc.

Raratonga..I will go back there for a land holiday.

Tin Can Island, where the locals paddle out in a canoe to get the mail from the Ship.

visiting Robert Louis Stevenson's house in Apia.

The crew on board are great...nothing is too much trouble. food was plentiful and a good variety.

I had a wonderful time, and look forward to cruising again on board Pacific Dawn later this year.
