Oasis of The Seas
Royal Caribbean
The Oasis of the Seas is a revolution in cruise ship design. Unlike other ships it is divided into seven different neighbourhoods, each of which has a distinct design theme. The Boardwalk, for example, is modelled on a retro seaside resort complete with a carousel and psychic booth. By contrast, the Central Park district is chic and metropolitan in feel, with trendy cafes and upmarket dining. Classic opulence can be found in the extensive shopping and dining complex in the Royal Promenade.
Active guest aboard the Oasis of the Seas will enjoy the sports deck's climbing walls, basketball and surfing. Meanwhile, the more laid-back can head for the spa. All are sure to enjoy the performances on the ice rink and the massive Aqua theatre.
There is plenty to choose from come meal time on board the Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas. Highlights include the chic Japanese Izumi restaurant, Giovanni's traditional Tuscan-style restaurant and Chops Grille, a good old-fashioned steakhouse. Accommodation is in 2,700 staterooms or 28 stylish loft suites.
The Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas docks in Miami and runs an eight-day cruise of the eastern Caribbean with shore time in Puerto Rico and an eight-day tour of the western Caribbean taking in both the Dominican Republic and Mexico's island paradise of Cozumel.

Oasis of the Seas - Itself a Destinationby glomarrone (September 2012)
Although the sheer size of the ship intimidates many passengers, I absolutely loved all the extra amenities and options. The Oasis is so massive that it feels like you are at a large hotel or resort rather than on a ship. We never felt the movement of the ship. Wh...
