Lindblad Expeditions

Lindblad Expeditions, operative now for some half a century, runs its cruise ships to some of the most unexplored destinations on Earth, such as Antarctica, the Galapagos Islands and Papua New Guinea.
Working alongside National Geographic, these expeditions often involve serious research, many of the crew being experts, for example in zoology, marine biology or geology. The cruises are not about luxury, cabins being basic but comfortable, food excellent but simple and entertainment non-existent. There are spas, and the libraries are of a very high standard, but what cruisers are paying for is adventure and exclusivity.
Activities such as whale-watching, kayaking and scuba-diving are available offboard, as well as walks and hikes. But a Lindblad cruise is more about what you see and learn than about what you do.
