Pineapple Wine (and more) from Volcano Winery

    Going to Hawaii?
Have a hankering for some Pineapple Wine, or maybe some Macadamea Nut Honey Wine?

You can get it at the Volcano Winery on the Big Island.

The following is from the winery's website, found at Volcano Winery | About Us

    WINE TASTING IN PARADISE

Wine tasting in Paradise is just a sip away at Volcano Winery on the Big Island. Come taste the local wines inspired by volcanic fire and the bounty of the island. Tropical fruits like yellow guava and the exotic jaboticaba berry are blended with traditional wine grapes and transformed into vibrant creations that capture the playful spirit of Hawaiian paradise - and our relaxed, laid-back atmosphere is the perfect place to try them.

For the more traditional palate, we offer two award-winning wines made with the Symphony grape. And our Macadamia Nut Honey Wine, made from the island’s blossoms of the Macadamia Nut tree, is a sweet after-dinner treat that is uniquely Hawaiian – a favorite with locals and visitors from all over the world.

Our wines are only available here in the Hawaiian Islands, so make sure to visit us while on Hawaii. Our friendly staff does free tasting every day of the year from 10-5:30, and no appointment is ever necessary

    Carrying Wine Home from Hawaii
    • Until the FAA changes the current liquid ban on airplanes, passengers are unable to bring wine as a carry on in on the plane
    • We can provide 3, 6, and 12 bottle boxes that can be checked as luggage

I looked for this wine when we were in Hawaii last month, but didn't see it. We were in sevral ABC stores....maybe they sold it all to the tourists who came before we did! Guess you'd need to go to the winery for it.

Maybe you have to go to their store... or a specialty store of some sort to find it.

Their web site lists the ABC stores as carrying their wines. There are always ABC stores convenient to the dock areas in all the islands so I suppose if the supply was limited the passengers who got there first snapped them all up!

    Ah. Maybe that's it, then.

Did you see any other interesting wines on your visits to the ABC stores?

Nothing worth buying. The prices there are not duty free since it's the US.

Too bad their ABC stores aren't like our ABC stores here in Florida. (they are not associated with our ABC's) Our's here carry quite a large inventory and so many choices it makes your head spin!
