Now, I'm really curious as to where this place is. Do you get a cocktail from a bar and walk there....Or is it a secluded bar somewhere....Or do you bring your own cocktail with you to a secret spot???
Have you ever had a cabana? I don't think I would want one all day because I do like to walk around, swim and hang out in the sun.
There's just too much to see waiting in front of me,
and I know that I just can't go wrong with these...

Sunlover- We had the Orange Cabana in December 2004 when we were travelling with friends. At that point the price was $179, it's now $259 or more. It was great to have a place in the shade and our "cabana boys" were lovely, but I think we'd only do it again if we were having friends join us. I spend more time in the water than anywhere else anyway!!

When the cabanas first came out - I think we only had 4 of them - back a few years ago, the price for one for the day was $50. And at that time only passengers in suites could rent them. We did rent one - it was nice.
But there isn't any way that we would spend that kind of money for a cabana - $259?? - No way.

And for those that really need to spend some cash consider the Butler add-on to the package.
Per Hal:
"This special service upgrade is available to those guests who have purchased a Half Moon Cay Private Cabana Package (guests who are waitlisted for a Private Cabana should not purchase this upgrade until they have cleared the waitlist and secured a confirmed Private Cabana booking).
The Butler Service Upgrade Package includes:
- Unlimited beverages that are available from the various bars on Half Moon Cay. Drinks made from house brand liquor, all beers, soft drinks, bottled water and wine.
- A picnic lunch consisting of appetizer, entree, and dessert.
- Butler escort from your cabin to assist you ashore carrying all belongings to and from the ship.
- Your Butler will see to whatever needs you have on the island including shopping from the island shops and any Shore Excursion bookings you may like to make on Half Moon Cay. The Butler Service Upgrade Package price is applicable for up to 4 guests. For groups of more than 4 guests, each additional guest must purchase an Extra Person Surcharge for the Butler Service Upgrade."
A real deal at only 270$ for up to 4 persons !!
P.S. Interesting to note though that the price for a cabana has decresed to $219 for up to 4 persons.

Excursions for us on HMC - walk the beach --- if the water is warm -- DH will swim. But most of the time we just love to sit in our favorite spot and have a cocktail.
Sorry - can't tell you all where we like to hang out - then it would get crowded!!
I don't think I could ever spend that much money for a cabana and butler service. If you did, you would feel like you had to stay right there the whole day to get your money's worth. It sounds like the island is too pretty to stay in one place.
The Lookout Bar on the other side of the island looks cool. Is it as isolated as it looks and is it the least crowded bar there?

Its really a presonal choice thing We pay $219.00 to use the cabana all day, while I swim and walk alot, DH cant so he loves being on the beach in the cabana, so its worth the cost to us
