I've read the description for this on the HAL site but still am not sure what I'd get... just an umbrella? chairs? a designated place on the beach? If any of you have ever rented one, please enlighten me. Thanks!!:think:

i know its not the greatest picture. but maybe you can get an idea.

i didn't rent one so i can't really tell you if it was worth it or not. when I get to HMC, I was there early enough to get lounge chairs underneath a tree so we were cool and relaxed the whole time

ok, i went back through all my pictures as well as some pictures a friend of mine who was on my cruise took and i found a few more pictures that might help you get a better idea of what a clamshell is.

Way to go JstDucky!!

I never took any pictures of them, and in this case, a picture speaks 1000 words!!
Just looking at that beach makes me swoon.....it's got the softest white sand I've felt. Close to Paradise in my book!!

Half Moon Cay was awesome...but if you can swing the Cabana...I would do it over the clamshell...my friends got the clamshell and said it was quite hot under there.

I agree with localady!

HMC is amazing. Its the best private island I've been to and in general just one of the nicest beaches!

The sand was the softest I have ever felt...coco cay RCI's private island is like sand on cement or something...it was nice but nothing like half moon Cay.

The sand felt like powder between the toes. It was pink too!!

After hearing your descriptions of Half Moon Cay, I can hardly wait to see it myself! May turn out to be my favorite beach...
