We were there in Decl and found mobility to be no problem whatsoever (except walking along the sand whcih as describes is very soft, very white, and perfect for scrunching toes in.)

While very interesting, I found the eco-tour a bit lacking. That is probably because I knew almost as much as the guide (my Bio training anda MIL who is a major league bird watcher) I would love it if HAL offered an advanced eco tour for those of us who want more.

BTW, we spent quite a bit of time going across the lagoon to a recreated native villiage. A waste IMHO.

Thanks for the info you two. I appreciate all the help. My plan is to run straight to the excursions desk and deal with this asap when we get to the ship and we'll see what happens. I'm really looking forward to this port and hope the weather cooperates. Hopefully my son will be along too and I KNOW he'll enjoy it. Mom and I may just relax and enjoy the cabana and let him go do his sportsy things. LOL I think I can take a day of laying around, soft, white sand. Oh, yes, sounds like heaven to me.

Just keep in mind, that you really should book it ahead of time, they almost always sell out quickly once available to book online.

Dolores
I would book one early if it were an option. So far, it's not. I called Carnival and from what I was told, they don't offer those online. So, it's a mad dash to the Shore Excursions Desk once I hit the ship. I wish they did offer those online. I'd be all over it.
