My husband and I will be sailing on the Noordam next year and are considering one of the inside cabins on the Upper Verandah deck. Was wondering if anyone has booked one of these cabins and could provide some info on the layout. Photos would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for any help you can provide.

Even though we have sailed on the Noordam -- we have never stayed in an inside cabin.

Here is a link to get info for the Noordam:

*Click on the left hand column for Staterooms. This gives a list of all the categories.
*Then click again in that column for Large of Standard Inside Staterooms.
That will give you the floorplan and a picture.

"I" is the largest category for this cabin type, but even the smallest cabins (183 sq ft) are bigger than outside rooms on other lines. Notice that you will have a queen size bed. While the picture and the floor plan show a couch, the virtual tour only shows a chair:

I don't know what you are used to, so I can't speak for you and say you will like it, but it looks like it has a lot of closet space and enough room for two people, as long as you were not going on a long cruise (months as opposed to a week or 2).

You could try webshots.com for a look at the cabin number, to see if someone posted a picture there. Don't forget that if there are no pics for the Noordam, try the Westerdam, Oosterdam, and the Zuiderdam as well (other Vista ships).

Thanks for the info. I'll search out webshots.com. We are considering a quad cabin, but I've read that people find the overhead bed a nuisance as they bump into it when they get out of bed. That's no problem for me (I'm short!), but my husband might mind. Also read that these cabins don't have mini bars. Am interested in seeing a photo so I am better informed. Appreciate your help!

By the way, what is a frubal?????
