    GUATEMALA, Belize, Costa Maya

I am new to this site. Does anyone have advice about excursions to Guatemala, Belize, and Costa Maya. We were hoping to do snorkeling, hiking adventure and/or Mayan ruins. Thank you in advance.

    Char,
Thank you. So far no luck. I had the typos at the end of the tag line---I hope people still be able to read it okay. Joan

We were in Guatemala in December of 2008 aboard the Coral Princess. We took a tour of Antiqua with a stop at a coffee plantation.. Enjoyed both but had some problems in Antiqua. Be prepared for a LOT of walking over cobblestone streets. Two ladies that I know of did fall and received minor (but painful) cuts and abrasions. I have a bad back and felt at times that I wasn't going to make it to the end!! The city is very interesting and I am glad that I saw it - next time I reserve tours I need to pay more attention to the level of activity that is quoted.

Have you looked at the video on the pyramids here? Discover Guatemala's Mayan Pyramids On Line (Discover Guatemala's Mayan Pyramids On Line (Video + Stills))

It's just a few posts down from this one.

JoAnn .... Thanks for the info and warning!

Certainly doesn't sound like a good excursion for any with even minor walking problems.....

    LuLu ...
    Visit SOUTH CAROLINA!
