Ships Excursion - 3 Hours ( 1:30 - 4:30 for us. Our ship was only in Grenada for the afternoon.)
It's a PARTY BOAT! Those of you who enjoy Party Boats will probably like it ... those who don't, probably won't!
Rhum Runner, a 2-Deck motorized catamaran, picked us up at the end of the cruise pier.
Immediately, good rum punch (not the weak stuff) was served and available thoughout the excursion at no cost. Beer was $2 ber bottle.
The ride over was VERY rocky. Try to find a seat on the bottom deck! Best to let the crew bring you the rum punch. They DID -- Never let us see the bottom of our glasses!
Morne Rouge Beach was very nice! Pretty white sand and "bathtub" warm gentle blue water! (Our favorite part of the excursion.) A vendor had chairs: $2 straight ... $3 lounge. Ample shade ... no umbrella needed!
No drinking time was missed! The crew took large trays of rum punch into the water and served there as well as on the beach. It was a RULE: We were never allowed to see the bottom of our glasses!
Much calmer seas going back. Not so on the boat! PARTY TIME! The live steel drum band played ... with dancing, limbo, congo lines, ....
Maybe, it was all of the beer and rum punch ... but, we think we remember having had a very good time!
Lulu, I bet you had a great time if you never saw the bottom of your glass.
