It's hard not to like an island that smells as good as Grenada does!

We've always enjoyed the beaches, catamarans, and party boats there!

Because we've enjoyed the above so much, we've never just walked around in town. Has anyone else?

YES U R RIGHT, the smell is like fresh as u can get. You must do an Island tour in Grenada, the leaves are dripping water it is so lush on that Island, when we were there in August it was carnival time so the down town was just fill with partiers. The water falls, great....I would do a tour if any thing.....you will learn about the many different uses for the nutmeg fruit. Small narrow roads, but fun....

I don't think I want to try the nutmeg icecream, never heard of it.

I was kind of hoping to see some more suggestions here. We'll be there on February 3rd. We have reserved the "Spices of Grenada Tour" through Princess, so we're hoping it's a good tour...
    Tom...

It's all good, if the sun is warm, the water is blue, I'm on a cruise ship drinkin' a Long Island Ice Tea or two!

Some parts were pretty, like Annandale Falls and of course, Grand Anse is gorgeous, but overall the mountainous windy and skinny roads as well as the poverty made for a "just okay" trip. Glad I went there once but probably wouldn't go back.
Upcoming cruise: Caribbean Princess to southern Caribbean on March 7, 2010.

Is there a way to experience the "spice culture" without a lengthy tour? If we don't want to spend over 4 hours on a tour, what would you suggest?
