Seems lots of Shore Excursions are now making their beach stops at Morne Rouge Beach. Has anyone been there and/or know anything about this beach?![]()

Not me Lulu! But it sounds like a great name for a beach. If you find anything out, let me know.
I think the name in itself lends towards a good time![]()

Asking about this because the Party Boat (yes, we do love party boats!
) in Grenada we normally take has changed their "beach stop" from Grand Anse Beach to Morne Rouge Beach ....

Lulu, I haven't been to Mourne Rouge Beach, but have been nearby and stayed on the Grand Anse side. The photos we've been able to locate show Mourne Rouge to be beautiful. I'm a bit biased, but Grenada really does have some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, including Grand Anse.
From what I've been able to read, Mourne Rouge is just around the corner from Grand Anse. It's reportedly "calmer" in tide than Grand Anse but I can't possibly imagine how as there is no tide on any of the Caribbean Sea side beaches due to the fact that you are just 17 degrees above the equator. Really! It's so quiet. Once there was a tropical storm off the coast of Grenada which caused the tiniest of tide on Grand Anse beach, but the waves were only about 4" tall.
Anyway, Mourne Rouge looks beautiful and if you plan an excursion there, enjoy! There's one resort on the beach so you should be able to use the facilities if needed. If you want to go on your own, there is a water taxi that goes between St. George's to Grand Anse beach for just $3 US. The people on Grenada are very friendly and would probably be willing to make a stop on Morne Rough for you for just a couple more.

The Party Boat we've taken several times and the catamaran we took once now have their beach stops at Mourne Rouge. We really liked Grand Anse so it's great to know Mourne Rouge is equally as good!![]()
Grenada is one of our favorite islands -- it even SMELLS good, like spices!!

Lulu, you are so right, the island does smell great!
I love buying the spice necklaces that the vendors sell at market and on the beach. They make great air fresheners for your car and smell just like Grenada.
I hope we can cruise together some day, you're my kinda gal! Party boats are so fun!
