My husband and I are going on this cruise. This is our 4th cruise but the 1st with RCI. We have cruise Carnival in the past. We were running away from the Canadian cold for a week to Florida and decided to catch a quick cruise instead. Can't wait. This is our first cruise with just the two of us, we usually travel with some other friends...so maybe this time we'll meet more people. Where are you travelling from??Originally Posted by deora24
Moved to southwest florida 4 years ago...from NJ. This is our first cruise...picked a shortie to see if we liked it. We're just the 2 of us...seems like everyone cruises in packs. Hoping our dinner table will be others who don't all know each other. Also hoping the boat has been well disinfected after the recent viral outbreak.

We love cruising, we have tried the all inclusive resorts and they are nice but I find you always compare to a cruise...there is just so much to do that you are never bored. I hope it is disinfected well too, that would be awful!!! Who knows, maybe we will share a table in the dining room...I am looking forward to Cozumel, last time I was in that port I just did the shopping thing and I missed out on seeing the island...i want to hit the beach if the weather cooperates.
That would be some coincidence...over 2,000 people!Who knows, maybe we will share a table in the dining room...We haven't really decided what to do in Coz...I have visions of waiting for a long time to get on the tender, especially if we don't book a tour through RCI... thought about a jeep tour...I saw one that takes you to a beach not just through the rough terrain jungle. Will you be in Florida for a bit...or just for the cruise?
We are flying in on the 29th, staying in Tampa, then we will stay in St Pete's after the cruise for just 2 nights...then back to the cold...well it shouldn't be too cold in April...hopefully...our weather here is probably the same as you experienced in New Jersey...we live in Halifax, Nova Scotia...wish I could relocate to Florida!! We have 2 small children though so a week away is about as long as we can go.
As for tours...i read some things about the dune buggy and jeep tours and people really like them...I'd love to see the island and still get a few hours at the beach...I just can't decide on a tour...and you are right...the tenders always take the tour people first...the only good thing is that we are in at 7am so maybe if you have breakfast on board and head off around 9 then the tours will be already gone...oh decisions decisions...are we too late to book a tour online?
Y'all will love love love the Grandeur....She's gorgeous...and when in Cozumel, check out Paradise Beach, it's gorgeous
Most smiles are started by another
putzin' around town...
Do you know if there are tours to Paradise beach? Or just take a cab? I can't wait to see the ship...after only sailing Carnival in the past I am interested to see another line's ship. Hopefully the food is good too!!!
