I like to see which ship(s) will be in port when I'm there. For this, I use www.cruisecal.com which allows you access to cruising details, whether by ship, port or date.

Be aware that they will ask for $3 per month, or something like $25 over a year's time!

If you enoy knowing who else is in town, as I do, then I think you can't do anything better than this site!

another option - no cost is Cruise TT : Your Cruise Ship And Port Timetable - Schedule for Cruise Ports and Cruise Ships . Good site for finding where ships are and what ports have what ships!
