Anyone have any experience with this one?

The perfect afternoon event for the whole family!

There are many great places to snorkel around Grand Turk, but Oasis Divers does something a little different. We have a snorkel and picnic trip to an uninhabited island called Gibbs Cay located about a mile from Grand Turk. On the way to the island, we stop and free dive for conch. On the island we make a fresh conch salad while the burgers are cooking for our island picnic.
There is amazing snorkeling all around the beautiful white sandy beach, but the real treat is the friendly stingrays that come to greet you right in the shallow water off the beach. You can pet them, and feed them and of course go home with lots of fun pictures. It’s a great afternoon activity for people of all ages after a busy morning.
With the Oasis Gibb's Cay snorkel adventure, you receive:
    • Boat transportation to and from the island
    • BBQ Picnic lunch and snorkel gear
    • Rum Punch
    • Close encounters with Stingrays
    • Unspoiled beaches of an uninhabited island
    • We take care of everything! Just bring yourself, sunscreen and prepare to have a memorable and fun afternoon!
This trip is for everyone! Not just the divers...

Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

Thanks, Sue! Found this at that site... sounds interesting . . .

The Ultimate Snorkeling adventure begins right at the cruise terminal, where your friendly crew will greet you. Hop on board and before you know it, you’re at your first destination – a pristine coral reef near the uninhabited island of Round Cay. Your crew will provide you with snorkel equipment and safety and use instructions, as well as answer any questions you may have. With myriad colorful fish passing right before your eyes, this is your chance to get “up close and personal” with the underwater life. Next, you’ll leave the reef behind as your boat takes you to beautiful Gibb’s Cay, only minutes away. Shortly after you arrive, you’ll notice several stingrays approaching the bay, one by one. Touch them… hold them… even take a swim with these gentle, soft creatures. Your crew is always ready to assist you in handling these endearing sea animals. Later, you may choose to explore the uninhabited island, or even go in search of the elusive Osprey. Before re-boarding your boat for the relaxing return to the town dock, enjoy a refreshing beverage with our compliments.

Both of those look great Sheila. Turks is very well know amongst divers. Not far off the turquoise shores, the depth goes to 700 feet! there is some amazing diving there. I didn't snorkel when I was there...I will beach it next time that I do go there.

I was hoping to do a short getaway in January...just for the itinerary...we'll see....I will need someone to go with, lol...

You can't really go wrong to snorkel here...my son did the Kayak trip...with the glass bottom...he didn't like it!

I love to snorkel when I can- as not all of my family enjoys beaches, or snorkeling- my son's comment was do you really put your FACE in the water (tells you where he is on this whole issue!) and that is about where my husband is too! LOL

Beach day or snorkel excursion- I'm up for either!

    GO PATS!!!
