No it shouldn't have any effect at all
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

The only reason I know about St Ignatius is that, in school, the head of the drama dept was (I think) a Catholic. He told us that st. Ignatius was the patron saint of Actors and Actresses. Before every show, he went to the green room and said a prayer to St Ignatius.

Most everyone joined in... even those who weren't particularly religious. I guess most of them figured that any saint who had the special task of looking out for performers was an alright entity.

Today, of course, that department head would probably be either sued or imprisoned for doing something so utterly "offensive" as wishing for a saint to bless the work of his students.

Yep, that wouldn't 'fly' anymore. What a shame.

Well, I'm certainly glad I learned something new. See why I love these boards so much.

I am very happy to say in our kids school, they still have flags and for any auditorium activites if there is a sick child prayers are said and God and country are an important part of the school, as for anyone that finds that offensive it is preety much an unsaid rule, find another school. The respect all beliefs but that is the belief of the school!!
