We have not sailed much with Princess in recent years but they have some good offers out there so I book one. We will be sailing to Alaska on the Golden Princess in August.
We were a little disappointed with our last cruise on the Sun 2 years ago but it may have been due to our expectations being too high. It is hard to live up to the memories of our first cruises.
Bliz .... In August I'm going to wish I were in Alaska with you!
Will certainly be interested in how you like Golden Princess ....

It could be possible that the Sun cruise just had problems. There's some differences between the classes of the ships. So maybe the Golden will be better.

That is one of the reasons we are trying them again.
On the Sun the Sterling Steakhouse is in part of the Horizon Court that is partitioned. As a specialty restaurant, it was disappointing. We were also not thrilled with the Horizon Court selections. I now that sometimes the food can vary from ship to ship on a line.

It's true, the memories of the first cruise are hard to top! Our first cruise was in 1973 and I can still remember how excited I was.
We are sailing on the Golden April 1 to Hawaii, on the Coral to Alaska on May 17 which will include a cruisetour (our third cruise to Alaska) and then on the Caribbean to Canada/New England in September. As you can see, we are great fans of Princess.
