We are looking at a cruise on the Golden Princes. It is a 12 day cruise from Rome Italy and ending in Venice Italy. Can anybody tell me anything about this ship?

Also can anybody tell we about experiences in cruising overseas instead of out of the USA.

I like the Golden Princess, but it's not my favorite. We had a good cruise on her a couple years ago. One thing is, she's big and it can be a long hike from one end to another. I think this size ship is about as big as I can stand.

On the cruise you are considering, be careful not to pack too much into each day. Port intensive cruises can be tiring. Pace yourself. I like to try and do a morning tour, then use the afternoon to hang out, tour on my own, or just relax on the ship. It depends on the port. If the ship is docked close to places of interest, it's much easier to do things on your own. The all-day escorted tours take a lot out of you. Sometimes you can't avoid them to see things you want to see.
