I can understand your reaction, but I believe the poster was merely commenting on how lively and witty the others were, and, perhaps, in overhearing their humor, had a good laugh.

I don't think she was laughing at them. I also find that it's easier to build bridges if I'm not so quick to take offense. People need educating, no doubt, but perhaps with a velvet glove rather than a smack.

Re: HAL, I have no personal experience, but their reputation is very good for FOD parties and good treatment for GLBT passengers. I have several gay friends who don't fit the stereotype of the average HAL passenger and yet LOVE the line.

My partner and I are about to go on our 9th cruise at the end of november (ncl pearl 11/23) and have been to a couple fod meetings and have met some cool people.

Sorry You missed the point all together ... I said nothing about the Crusie being Boring at all

What I was saying is that it doesn't matter gay/lesdian/Straight we all can get together and have fun in the company of others and not have to worry about all the bashing and what not.

FYI, just off Serenade and the cruise leaving today is a full ship charter Gay Lesbian group. They are doing a special 8 night MR cruise with an extra Cruise Director brought in just for this cruise and the bar staff is gearing up for a very busy cruise. I bet the median age drops significantly from the 15 night Hawaii cruise I just left.

Apology?????

I guess I should apologize for my remarks, since I must not understand proper English.

You see, what I was taught is that it is insulting - and hurtful - to be the object of laughter, when it is perceived to be ridiculing laughter. When someone says they were laughing AT someone/some people because of a certain behavior, it is rude. Guess The Irish Christian Brothers taught me wrong when I was in school.

We all need to try and get along, especially in these trying times. I'm anything but sensitive, but one does have to be careful - and respectful - of others when they say something. Lord knows I don't always say the right thing.

Based on the posting I read and responded to, I stand by my comment.

I know NCL does FOD mixers on the Caribbean cruises, but do they do it on Euro-cruises too?

I'm off (alone, dammit!) on the December 12th Norwegian Jade out of Barcelona. My travelling partner cancelled so I'll be forcing myself out of my lazy comfort zone and attempting to be more gregarious than usual. Should I expect a FOD meeting? Does NCL do it on all their cruises?

Smile GBLT cruises

Hi!

I am new on this site, but wanted to ask if any of you like RSVP vacations for GBLT cruises? I am an agent and a cruiser myself but I really love booking cruises with them for clients. They have great service, great cruises and they are nice to work with...I also like Atlantis. Does anyone have another company that you can suggest for GBLT cruises that you recommend? I have not used any other than the above mentioned...Its always nice to know more! Thanks!
