    Rosie ODonnell's NCL HBO special

NCL's Norwegian Dawn to Be Featured On HBO's All Aboard! Rosie's Family Cruise
MIAMI - March 22, 2006 - On April 6, 2006, Home Box Office (HBO) will present All Aboard! Rosie's Family Cruise, a documentary feature film chronicling Rosie and Kelli's first-ever cruise for gay and lesbian families on board Norwegian Cruise Line's (NCL) Norwegian Dawn. The documentary, which was shot on the 2004 maiden voyage of R Family Vacations by award-winning filmmaker & Emmy(r) nominee, Shari Cookson, features a glimpse of society shaped by a truly diverse, inclusive network of families.

Presented as a selection of the 2006 Sundance Film Festival, where it had its world premiere in January, All Aboard! Rosie's Family Cruise follows 500 gay and lesbian families from across the nation aboard Norwegian Dawn chartered by Rosie and Kelli O'Donnell. Thanks to the collaboration of R Family Vacations, HBO, NCL and Comcast, television audiences will have the opportunity to explore the vacation experiences of these compelling families as they share love, compassion and adventure as well as endure prejudices on land.

"NCL is pleased to play such an integral role in a project as original and inventive as this," said Colin Veitch, president and CEO of NCL Corporation. "NCL stands for freedom - and it's not just the freedom of our signature Freestyle Cruising, but also our company philosophy. We want all of our guests to celebrate their individuality and enjoy their vacations the way they choose."

R Family Vacations has chartered Norwegian Star this summer for an Alaska cruise and Norwegian Jewel next winter in the Caribbean.

"All families deserve respect and all families are bound by love. We're all equal," Rosie O'Donnell said. "I think the film shows that the sexual orientation of a parent has nothing to do with the ability to parent."

Norwegian Dawn, purpose-built for Freestyle Cruising, features 10 restaurants, 13 bars and lounges, world-class entertainment options and state-of-the-art amenities. Norwegian Dawn sails from New York to Florida, Bermuda and the Bahamas during the summer and sails extended 10- and 11-day Southern Caribbean itineraries from New York.

Additional HBO playdates for the documentary:
    April 6 (8-9:30 p.m. ET/PT)
    April 9 (4:30 p.m.)
    April 12 (3:45 p.m.)

My brother and his husband (Massachusetts, don't ya' know!) and their son did the second cruise last year out of NYC up the New England Coast, and had a great time.

I've been watching this special and it's quite something to see these couples be accepted in one way like they never have before...and in other ways, they aren't accepted at all, like as when they enter in countries and how the local people ostracize these couples. Just amazing....
