    We have done both

But not with e-z cruising-we used another lot(Dolphin I think) and we have also taken a cab from the hotel. Cabs are easy to get.

We've used EZ Cruise Parking. It was very easy, and they dropped us off and picked us up out of the way of all the tour buses. It was EZ.

DW was looking for more information for everyone. I remembered that Carnival has always posted good information on their website about the ports. There information indicates that the Port Authority would charge $70 for a 7 day cruise. With EZ Cruize Parking and reserving online, it's only costing us $50 for our 7 day cruise.

    Here's Carnival's Info:

Is this a shuttle? Do you need a car? What if you fly in, are there transfers?

Brooke, most of the hotels have shuttles. If you fly in and take a limo to the hotel you should be able to cab while in Galveston and then shuttle to the port when it's time to cruise. You won't need EZ cruise. It is a wonderful service though. We used it last time and I give it two thumbs up!

Brooke check out Galveston limo.com..........they serve both Bush International and hobby airport every 30 minutes.........not really a limo but a van.......I have used them before.......very efficient.........

Also if you come in a day early.......we have stayed at the Hotel Galvez.....they have a shuttle that will take you to the pier and pick you up, or you can make other arrangements to get back to the airport.

Thanks for all the info Mike and Jim......how far is it from Hobby to the pier. I have seen on Travelocity it's about 30 minutes? Is this accurate?

Brooke with Houston traffic closer to 45 minutes from Hobby and from Bush it can take up to an hour and a half depending on traffic.........

Hobby is definetly the closest.........by at least a half hour.........

You are still a good 30 miles or so from Galveston.
